GradWeek 2015 Video Shoot in Bahamas
I recently was in the Bahamas for a one week video shoot! The vacation event was for Grad Week, students who just graduated from high school. The video shoot included shots of them getting to the hotels, to all of their special events such as beach parties, nightclub parties and cruises, and of them finally leaving home. This was my first opportunity to use my DJi Ronin-M, which I was extremely impressed with but still have a lot of learning to do with it. My Lumix GH4 worked nicely with it because it was not that heavy, however the only negative was I did not have a monitor so I could not visually see what I was shooting at time. Also unfortunately, this trip I damaged my Phantom Vision 2 Plus Drone due to some circumstances and was unable to use it for most of the trip. Even the trip came out to be costly with losing my drone, it was still a successful video shoot and the video will be out shortly!

Pleasure Pool Memorial Day Weekend Las Vegas 2015
It was another crazy weekend again here in Las Vegas for Memorial Day Weekend 2015. I had the chance again work with Ultra DJs at their event at the Pleasure Pool at Planet Hollywood. The Pleasure Pool recently renovated with more cabanas, upgraded sound system, bar, and the Strip's first ever FlowRider Wave-in-a-Box Double, which allows riders variety of board-sport skills – surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, skimboarding, skateboarding. Among the entertainment, we had DJs Shai Perri and Roger Gangi spinning beats, and live performances by Lydia Ansel on the violin and Rocco on the saxaphone. Besides enjoying all the entertainment, some party-goers were able to participate in a bikini contest as well! I tried to use the drone for some aerial shots, however I could not get a strong enough GPS signal to safely use it. I was still able to get enough shots with my Lumix GH4 camera and mounting a GoPro in various places of the pool. Though the weather was not great, everyone still had a great time.

Drone Operator for Lynch Mob Music Video 'Testify'
In a ghost town in Nelson, Nevada, I had the opportunity to work with the rock legend George Lynch. George Lynch is an American hard rock guitarist and songwriter. Lynch is best known for his work with heavy metal band Dokken and his band Lynch Mob. Lynch is considered to be one of the most influential and famous 80's metal guitarists (Wikipedia). I was the drone operator for the official music video of 'Testify,' where we had some major challenges due to the weather, equipment and car problems. Location was incredible, it has been the location for many past music videos from many major artists in the industry. One of my primary shots with the drone was George peeling out of gas station onto the main road, however his first take was our last take because he ended up blowing his transmission. The car was the most important prop for the music video, so we had to think creatively on how to already use the shots we had with the car to the car now not being available. It was a fun and challenging experience.

Watch the Diplo Interview
A superstar DJ, sought-after producer, taste-making label owner, and
wizard behind Major Lazer, Diplo (aka Diplodocus, Wes Diplo, and Wes
Gully) launched his career on the fringes of dance music. With his
mash-up mixtapes, he found and created a sound where his musical tastes
-- '80s pop, electronica, Dirty South hip-hop, and his major influence,
Miami bass music -- intersect. (courtesy of allmusic.com)

Diplo Interview
This interview I filmed for 98.5KLUC in Las Vegas featured DJ/producer Diplo. Diplo was in studio to talk about new and upcoming projects and events and answer questions from some lucky fans. For the interview we used five cameras to get different angles on Diplo, the interviewer and the fans. Also, we had two LED light panels to get the right exposure and not push our ISO. The interview went well and as soon as it was over, he was nice enough to sign autographs and take pictures with fans even though he had to catch a flight to DJ at Coachella the same day.
